On the other hand, the Swedish director Arne Suxdorf was eyeing this child while visiting the dense forest, the director’s easy friendship with the lions in the forest was so special that he did not live… .. then an Oscar winning film “Jungle Saga” was prepared. Bastar’s “Tiger Boy” Chenderu was on the lead role ……. In 1960, Chenderru also saw a period of fame that he would not have dreamed of. When the 90-minute movie “Jungle Saga” went on screen on celluloid from all European countries, people became crazy about Chenderu, Chenderru became a Hollywood star overnight.In Sweden, when Chenderu saw modern life there, it was nothing short of a dream. In Sweden, Chenderru stayed at the director’s house for a few years. Then came back to India, then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehruji advised Chenderru to stay in Mumbai. But away from the life of the crowd and on the call of father, Chenderu returned to his house where his life passed through lack of time.

In 1957, Oscar Award winner Arne Saxdorff made a film called ‘An the Jungle Saga’ in Swedish, which was released in English as ‘The Flute and the Arrow’. In this film, 10-year-old Chenderu worked with tigers and leopards. At that time Arne Saxdorf had lived in Bastar for almost two years and shot the entire film. About 10 tigers and half a dozen leopards were used in the film.

The film showed how Chenderu’s friend Ginjo was killed by killing a human leopard and then how Chenderru became friends with tigers and leopards.

When the film was screened, Chenderru was also taken to other countries including Sweden. The film was also released at the Cannes Film Festival in 1958. Chenderru, who never went out of Garhbengal village, spent months abroad because of the film.
