The Kailash Cave is located on a small hill and was discovered in 1993. The cave has a length of nearly 100 m. It has a narrow entrance and contains stalagmite and stalactite formations. A stalagmite formation in the shape of a Shivlinga is situated at the end of the cave. The fascinating feature is that when struck by hand, the hollow walls of the cave make amazing musical sounds.

Bastar is a mysterious land with dense forests, sarpin valleys and rivers. Kanger Valley National Park has three exceptional caves, the Kailash cave is the oldest cave in this area. The cave was discovered on March 22, 1993. In the underground caves of Bastar, the Kailash Cave has the earliest limestone formations which are very attractive. The known length of this cave is 1000 feet with a depth of 120 feet. Due to breathtaking limestone structures,  it forms a shapes like Shivlinga.  Stalacates and stalagmites within the cave give it a replica of Kailash. These dripstone structures are also worshiped by locals.

Kutumbasar and Dandak Caves are other attractions of Kanger  Valley  National Park. Guide, torch is available for tourists. During the monsoon, the Kailash cave is closed and every year from 16 October to 15 June it is reopened. Now, Gypsy Safari is also available for tourists to explore the beauty of other places.
