Travel places Mandwa Mahal Kawardha A beautiful historical monument near the Bhoramdev Temple is the Mandwa Mahal which is a temple of Lord Shiva. Mandwa is a term in the local dialect that addresses the marriage pavilion. The temple was built by Ambika Devi, wife of the Phani Nagavanshi king Ramchandra Dev in the 15th century AD. The provocative sculptures of this temple are extremely beautiful.There are 54 erotic sculptures in various forms of “Kamasutra” on the outer walls of the temple. The Nagavanshi king is believed to have been the perfect seeker of “Tantra” in Khajuraho as his contemporaries, and his influence is also visible in this temple as Khajuraho’s rulers are contemporaries.
