The Shiva temple of Devbaloda is located about 25 kilometers from Raipur, the capital of the state of Chhattisgarh and about 4 kilometers from Bhilai. This Shiva temple is believed to be a Kalachuri carpet from the 12th to the 13th century. The Swayambhu Shivling present in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple is brown. The most special thing in this temple made of sandstone during the Kalchuri dynasty is that there is no peak of this temple.

There is a step-well pool next to this temple. The specialty of this tank is that its water does not dry even in summer. A big two-day fair is held here on the occasion of Shivaratri which is attended by thousands of devotees.

Carved statues of Shiva and many deities along the lines of Khajuraho are the center of attraction. The design of this ancient temple of Devbaloda is visible.

This temple has been declared of national importance under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act 1958.
