Tila Hanuman Temple This giant 81 feet tall statue of Hanuman ji near Champaran is built near Annikat of Tila, a village three km from Champaran. The villagers built this idol at their own labor and expense.Many religious places are seen from the origin of Chhattisgarh on the banks of Mahanadi to its merger in the ocean.

Apart from the saint Mahatmas for bathing meditation and worshiping, God has also quenched his thirst with the water of this river.Talking about the most ancient and famous temples on the Mahanadi of Chhattisgarh, Rajivlochan Kuleshwar Mahadev and Gandeshwar Mahadev, Champeshwar Mahadev’s name comes in the top. Apart from this, now the people of the village settled on both ends of the river are leaving no stone unturned in celebrating the glory of the village god by constructing small temples and organizing fairs etc. on various occasions in their respective levels.This temple is not ancient but has been built during the construction of Tina Annikat as per public faith. The 915 meter long anicut connecting Tila to Pokhara village has been constructed by the Water Resources Department of the Chhattisgarh Government to carry water to the new capital.An idol of 81 feet high Hanuman ji is built on the banks of this anicut of 5.2 square meter water holding capacity in Tila, Semra, Pokhara, Parasada enclave. According to the information board, it has been called Shri Ramodar Veer Hanuman Mandir. But people know it as Tileshwar Mahadev because it is in Tila village.The idol of the huge Hanuman ji on the ghat of Tila village is made by local sculptor Sri Piluram Sahu. Along with this, a small garden has also been made to beautify this enclosure and there is also a sub-office of the Department of Water Resources in the temple premises where the staff sit for the maintenance of anicut.

There is a small temple with the statue of Lord Shree Ram, Mother Janaki and Laxman ji on the ground of this huge Hanuman ji. This is another statue of Lord Hanuman. The Navagraha – Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and Rahu, Ketu is also seen revolving the huge statue of Hanuman ji, 81 feet high.Everyday, in the midst of deceit, life of the Mahanadi Chitrotopala, the buzzing hour of the temple complex of Sankatmochan Ram devotee, from the earth to the sky, chants Rama Rama, Rama Rama, Rama Rama and gives salvation to the living soul.
